The Jessie Oonark Collection

Drawing on decades as a private art dealer, an extraordinary forty (40) prints have been assembled in the Collection.

The Collection is now for sale, with preference given to a buyer planning to display the large body of artwork through a major private or public institution of their choosing.

Each print was created at the Sanavik Cooperative print shop in Baker Lake, Nunavut, Canada. Printing techniques favored by Oonark include stonecut, stonecut and stencil, stencil, silkscreen, linocut, and linocut and stencil.

Each print is signed by the artist and printmaker(s)) in Inuktitut syllabics. The bow and arrow symbol that appears in conjunction with signatures is the logo of the Sanavik Cooperative, indicating the print was created in Baker Lake. The prints were published in editions of not more than sixty; the number of the print within its' edition is given unless listed as a proof. The title, date, artist, and the printmaker(s) are written in pencil on each print in English. Dimensions are of the sheet size and are measured in inches, with height preceding width.
